Our Constitution guarantees us certain inalienable rights and as long as laws are obeyed, protects us from Government interference. I think the firing of the CEO of G.M is a step beyond, an area our administration had no right meddling in.
I understand full well, our new President has only been in office 2 1/2 months but I just hope he doesn't step too far in the future.
President Obama has the opportunity of being a President that will go down in history as one of the greatest. I, like most of you, will support him all the way. He is certain to take a few bad steps along the way and we must allow for that.
I receive tons of email slamming our President, I discard most of it as partisanship- or rumors, usually unfounded. Let's just keep in place the things government is permitted to do and hope it does not go beyond. Our President is committed to helping Unions, they voted in favor of him heavily. It will be interesting to see if the Auto Workers will be negotiable prone with some 70
bucks an hour plus benefits. So much for politics, (What a dirty word) let's now focus on Spring, the anticipated increase of fuel just in time for the summer driving season. Don't know about you but we are getting to see a lot more Hybrids in Florida, and that is a good thing. There never is a justification for fuel prices to increase, it is all decided on by the oil cartel, oil futures, the refiners and distributors and even funnels down to the service stations who set the retail pricing. What confounds me is how one station, on say the NE corner can be 30 cents a gallon higher than a competitor on the opposite corner. Stay well, Mish Shigas, Editor
